Coimbatore

Coimbatore, also known as Kovai, is a major industrial hub in South India. It is often referred to as "Manchester of South India" due to its cotton production and also referred to as "Pump City" as it supplies nearly half of India's requirements of motors and pumps. The places of interest are GD Naidu Museum, Shopping Malls, Isha Yoga Centre, Marudhamalai Hill Temple (considered as 7th abode of Tamil God lord Muruga), Black Thunder Water Park etc.

Ooty

Udagamandalam, abbreviated as Ooty is a hill station situated in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, with full green covered forests, gardens, parks and pleasant climate. The ooty lake, tea estates, boat house and pykara dam are popular tourist attractions. Nilgiri Mountain Railways which is operating its Steam Locomotives even today is added to UNESCO World Heritage site.

Bannari Amman Temple

Bannari Amman Temple is one of the most famous Amman temples located in Bannari on NH 209 Sathyamangalam – Mysore Trunk road. Main deity is goddess Mariamman (the goddess of rain), a form of supreme mother Durga or Maha Kali or Shakthi. The temple is near Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve.

Mysore / Mysuru

Mysore, second largest city in the state of Karnataka is noted for its heritage structures, Mysore Palace. It lends its name to various art forms and culture, such as Mysore Painting, Mysore Pak (sweet dish), Sandal Soaps, Mysore Ink and Silk sarees. The places of interest are Mysore Palace, Zoo, Brindavan Gardens, St. Philomena's Church and Chamundeshwari Temple.

Kodiveri

The Kodiveri falls & dam is a popular tourist spot and often referred to as ‘Mini Niagra’ here, which is situated on the Sathyamangalam – Gobichettypalayam route. It is around 4 km from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology. One needs to get down at Kodiveri bus stop and walk for around few hundred meters to reach the falls. Local busses are also available to reach kodiveri falls.

Climate

Sathyamangalam has a pleasant climate due to the near presence of thick green covered forest of Western Ghats and river bhavani. The mean maximum temperature ranges from 35.9 °C (97 °F) to 29.2 °C (85 °F) and the mean minimum temperature ranges from 24.5 °C (76 °F) to 19.8 °C (68 °F).
